Have you ever felt an intangible force holding you back from deploying your full potential? Have you ever witnessed others trapped in the same frustrating cycle? And wondered if this is an individual issue, or if society might be stuck in a rut?

Jessica Lutz worked for decades as a foreign correspondent on the frontlines of Turkey and the Middle East. But when covering crises began hitting her own ability to do her job, she looked in the mirror, switched careers and focused her newsgathering skills on what she increasingly saw as a chronic underlying problem: rethinking what we value as success.

In her talk, We-mind vs. Me-mind, redefining success, Jessica uncovers the root cause of what she calls our inner glass ceiling. On a personal level, she shows you how to ‘flip your flaws’ and let go of self-criticism and self-doubt so you feel free to unlock your true assets, recognise your accomplishments and identify your keys to success in leadership and life.

This is not just about you, however, but about making the world a better place in which collaborative, caring "we-minded" values have the same worth as the more self-centred, hierarchical "me-minded" ones that currently frame our definition of success.

ABOUT

As an author, mentor and coach, Jessica supports high performers in unlocking their pent-up potential, so they can design work and life to be fulfilling and joyful. Her unique approach is informed by a life well-lived.

Starting out as a cultural attaché for the Netherlands, Jessica soon embarked on a long career as a news correspondent in the Near East. Based in Istanbul, she also wrote several non-fiction books. After two decades, she turned to novel writing and started working as a trauma therapist, before she moved to Brussels for the latest stage in her career. Over the years, she developed her own signature healing process.

As a dedicated volunteer, she serves on multiple boards of women's networks and spearheads a successful mentoring program, nurturing the next generation of aspiring high performers.

Her latest book We-mind vs. Me-mind: A New Vision for Success in Leadership and Life is the result of seven years of research.
